3tl's 'Alys' harks back to the skate-punk era of Bowling for Soup with pop tinged tin-guitars and sugary melodies. They even have a suitable three-piece line up with both guitar and bass also contributing vocals.
This is an incredibly difficult genre to make any lasting impact in. Not even the big-boys of the genre survived for long, so this is the main weakness of the band. Other than that they've nailed the music and melody and produced a good record.
