Below Defect's 'Robotic War' is one of the messiest songs I have ever heard. It is basically an over-the-top metal track, over-layed with noise.
Although the samples are removed for 'Evil God', the song is still plain awful. The guitars are played with a reasonable amount of skill, but sound like a terrible dirge of muddy effects, the vocal is an unconvincing low-pitched scream and the song does nothing for almost five minutes.
'Solitary Confinement' aims for Metallica, but falls so far short it hurts.
Final track, 'Death Toll (Live)' is actually the best recording on the record, despite being a live performance. On this track, you can actually hear everything. Sadly, this doesn't help to make the song itself any better.
What is mostly missing from this record is song-writing talent. What is on offer is mostly regurgitated riffs from the nineties.
