You won't find many references to Dear Superstar that don't dub them the new (or British) Motley Crue and it's fair to say that they share a similar big-rock sound with a hint of manly-glam!
'Diseased and Distracted' is a straight-up rock anthem with huge riffs and a ballsy vocal and ticks all the boxes on the cock-rock checklist.
Deviating from the path and borrowing an intro from the Papa Roach school of songwriting, 'Live Love Lie' promises a change but turns out a bit more EMO than the opening bars suggest.
'Signposts to Bedposts' is a return to crotch-thrusting rock and gets a group approach to the chorus vocals as well as some distinctly Axl Rose grace-notes (or 'grace no-eee-oo-tes').
Dear Superstar don't promise a ground breaking sound, nor do we get one. For some great rock-outs though, they're just the ticket.
