Hess and Frazen follow up on their 'CLOSEDLOCKEDSEALED' single with a sampler of their similarly titled long player.
The album is exactly what you might expect from having heard the single; a musically tight instrumental record that draws on rock, metal, power-pop and even a bit of jazz at times.
The album starts off purposeful, takes a few calmer diversions, but is a rock-musical throughout whether the guitars get moved aside for some Baywatch piano or take centre stage with heavy riffs.
'When I Get Out Of This Place', 'Doomsday Device' and 'Magic Cat' are my favourite tracks, but if you like more of a chillout there are songs on here for you too - like 'Mantis' or 'Words Mean Nothing'.
The only reality check for this record is that instrumental albums don't get the love and adoration that traditional records get, so even though this record is really good - it is likely to remain an undiscovered gem.
