Jealous have a surprising Boho sound that is a hybrid of the incidental music on 'Come Dine With Me' and the kind of chic fashionable sound you'd get on a mobile phone advert.
'Between The Street And The Stars' flirts with chintzy-cheesyness but manages (just) to stay honest. This track is about two "ooh-la-la's" and one glittering smile from disaster, but presented as it is, it actually is cool enough and self-aware enough to work.
This isn't going to suit everyone, but if you fill your wardrobe full of vintage and wear it with trainers, you'll like this band.
