Jetson want to spread all that is good, true and beautiful about the Funk-Folk Collision and that's exactly what they do with these three classic songs.
'Follow Me' is a spacious funk song with a bass guitar that makes you wiggle, a touch of crisp guitar work (including a fantastic solo) and tight rhythm. Despite being distinctly absent of noise and effects, there is certainly nothing missing from this ace track.
From bouncing funk to a touch of appealing lounge, 'Have To Go Home' is a laid back song with a few surprises to offer. It compliments the opening song but takes things in a very different direction.
The last track, 'Ashdown Drive', is a folky acoustic song. The melody carries the song, with the instruments gently stroking through the background.
If you get a chance to catch Jetson playing these songs live, don't pass it up. This is a well-accomplished record with lots to offer.
