'Nancy' has an overall Rancid-esque sound and a vocal that's more common than Lily Allen. It is a track full of bitter jealously, which quite frankly I didn't enjoy listening to. From this song I got a false impression of Laura and the thought of having to listen to her slag off more girls didn't interest me.
'Ice Lady' shows a more attractive side to Laura's vocal. Her angelic voice sounds so natural it just glides cleanly through the air. This style of performing really compliments the band's material.
A woman's vocal along with a rock music could be seen as an opposite, but like they say, opposites attract and with songs like 'Ice Lady' and 'Troublemaker' I think they've proven that theory correct.
