Strangers

Demonstrating an unusual level of organisation and foresight, Picture Book have popped through a copy of their debut single, 'Strangers', which is due for release in February 2009.
A self-described audio-visual three piece who play enchanted hip-hop, Picture Book are a slick electronic band with plenty of vocal hooks from singer and violinist, Svabo Bech.
'Strangers' has just the right level of pumping beats and swirling sounds, maintaining enough of a thread to remain cohesive while it floats along beneath the vocal. It's got some atmospheric breaks and a good mix between the more repetitive lines and the deeper lyrics.
A lot of electronic music in the unsigned world is utter rubbish, but Picture Book have bucked the trend with this excellent single.
