Ranger3

In Ranger3's own words, they are "mixing Disney style choirs with lush and distinctive cello arrangements, ambient guitars and lo-fi beats in a world which doffs it's hat to Henry Mancini, The Flaming Lips, Andrew Bird and Steve Reich" - and 'Plans' does just that.

For such a small amount of instrumentation, Ranger3 successfully creates a philharmonic sound with strings flying in every direction. The melody is gently absorbed into this rich sound.

'Pendulum' mimics the swinging motion of said item by swinging the vocal between the speakers. This song is like a John Lennon experiment, with quirky tones overlaid with a complex harmony.

Ranger3 aren't your typical band. They have something different on the boil that is wholly playful and experimental and very enjoyable to hear.
