Take Aim Fire deliver solid gold in 'Pretty Brutal', which is a solid chunk of pop brilliance. From its synth-intro to it's fuzzy break and keyboard solo, this is a top-notch track.
There are flickers of guitars in the track, but it's largely electric-beat and lots of keys, keeping it will within the tones of Alphabeat.
It's the vocals that complete this track, bouncing between the soft female vocal and the male voice, which adds angsty edges. It's all about melody and counter-melody and it really is pop-genius.
Take Aim Fire are my new favourite pop band.
