The Banter start things off with a frantic intro on their latest single, 'Follow Your Heart'. After that, things develop into a seventies punk track, along the lines of The Buzzcocks.
The main ingredients are fuzzy guitars, a quick beat and a characterful vocal. There's not much melody in the song, which isn't a big problem except that the chorus needs that 'Ever Fallen in Love...' hook that would give the song a great big focal point.
It's not a bad song, but I reckon this band have got more to offer.
