Tristan Omand sounds like a veteran of the USA music scene, he's featured on six albums and toured the east coast three times - all leading him towards becoming a solo artist. Despite this, Tristan is just 23 and still a bit shy if you take away the guitar.
'The Simple Things' is a bouncy acoustic song with minimal interventions from percussion and electric guitar. It has a folky feel, with a general up-beat tempo and positive disposition.
Things are a touch slower in 'Looking For The Truth', with a more sombre tone. This is a song about not feeling like you fit in and it's not just the lyrics that convey that emotion.
Tristan Omand takes the acoustic guitar and cleverly adds just a touch of other instruments to give the songs more depth. This is a great brace of tunes from the unplugged world.
