Tuesday 6th of November 2007
Just two days before Dodgy were due to go out on tour, guitarist Andy Miller broke his arm falling out of 6ft high platform bed. Despite rumors to the contrary, Andy was not trying to emulate his hero Jimmy Page!
As a result the entire November tour will be postponed until early next year. Agents and promoters are all working to re-book the dates which will be announced in a week's time.
The band are devastated as rehearsals have been brilliant and keyboard player Richard Payne had travelled all the way from Australia to get back on stage with his old band mates Nigel Clark, Mathew Priest and Andy Miller.
Drummer Mathew was stunned when he heard the news saying; "None of us can quite believe it. The day before our first show. I keep expecting Jeremy Beadle to pop out with a microphone. We all feel incredibly frustrated and despondent as the rehearsals last week were sounding absolutely amazing. The best we have ever sounded. We were all SO looking forward to these shows."
Andy Miller's dates with his new band HEY GRAVITY! in December will still go ahead around the UK as planned.
