Orbital Announce New Material

Legendary grandmasters of electronica, Orbital have just confirmed they will be releasing their first new material since 2004. 'Don't Stop Me' and 'The Gun is Good' will be released on 20th June through iTunes and through all other digital retailers, followed by a Limited edition 12" on 27th June.
Orbital will be returning to their spiritual home and closing the Other Stage at Glastonbury Festival on Sunday 27th June. It follows the band being named 2009 Best Live Act by DJ magazine and playing to over 350,000 people last summer.
Until reforming last year, Orbital at Glastonbury 1994, was for many electronic music fans the live highlight of the decade and was rated as one of the Top 50 gigs of all time by Q Magazine. It was where they bowed out in a blaze of glory in 2004 having played there a total of five times. It seems appropriate that they headline the Other Stage on this 40th Anniversary of Glastonbury.
Besides Glastonbury, Orbital are confirmed to play Isle Of Wight Festival in June and Guilfest in July having already headlined at Coachella and Miami this year. Full dates are as follow:
- May 29th - Primavera Festival, Barcelona, Spain
- June 12th - Isle of Wight Festival (Headline Second Stage)
- June 27th - Glastonbury, Somerset (Headline Other Stage)
- July 16th - Guilfest, Surrey (Headline)
